The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) is pleased to announce the call for applications for the 2005 Carol Anne Letheren Leadership & Sport Scholarship. The award was created to recognize the achievements of Carol Anne Letheren, former CEO of the Canadian Olympic Committee and IOC member who passed away suddenly in 2001. Carol Anne was well known as an advocate for women in sport and leadership roles. This scholarship aims to identify young women who have the potential to follow in Carol Anne's footsteps.
Female students in their graduating year of high school are invited to apply for the 2005 Carol Anne Letheren Leadership & Sport Scholarship. The award is a national, three-year, $1,500 per year, university scholarship awarded to an outstanding Canadian female high school graduating student who exemplifies the Canadian Olympic Values in all areas of her life.
Applications must be received by mail no later than 5:00 p.m. EST March 30, 2005:
