Three lucky pairs of STARSkaters will get to redecorate their bedrooms this spring.

The STARSkaters, two from Western Canada, two from Central Canada and two from Eastern Canada, were selected from hundreds of entries as the winners of the HomeSense Skating Spaces contest. The contest, which ran from Dec. 1, 2004 to Jan 14, 2005, offered the chance for a STARSkater, one from each of the three regions, and his or her skating friend to win a $500 HomeSense gift certificate to redecorate their off-ice skating spaces.

To enter the contest, STARSkaters had to describe why they deserved to decorate their off-ice skating spaces.

The winning pair from Western Canada was Paige Fessenden and Ashley Wolfe, of British Columbia. Melissa Jones and Jaimie Powers, of Ontario, were the winners from Central Canada, while Geena Oxford and Megan Hayward, of New Brunswick, were selected as the winning pair from Eastern Canada.
