Canada’s senior team collected 7 medals in the ISU Senior Grand Prix season - three gold, one silver, and three bronze:

Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon (ice dance) and Valérie Marcoux and Craig Buntin (pair), who finished third and eighth respectively in the overall ISU Senior Grand Prix standings, headed to St. Petersburg (Russia) to compete in the ISU Senior Grand Prix Final held December 14-17, 2006 where they won the silver medal and finished in fifth place respectively.
