(March 27, 2008)
Hot off his gold medal win at the 2008 ISU World Figure Skating Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden, Jeff Buttle of Smooth Rock Falls, Ont., will appear on “Air Farce Live” to help a young fan overcome “Buttle Mania”.
The sketch will include Craig Lauzon playing the “Buttle obsessed” high school student. The northern Ontario student begins to wear figure skating costumes to school at the protest of his mother and high school principal who want him to become a miner. Buttle makes a visit to the student to help with the situation.
Don’t forget to switch on your television to CBC for “Air Farce Live” on Friday, March 28 at 8:00 PM (EST) to catch the new World Champion.
Buttle captured the world title last weekend and became the first Canadian to win the world title since Elvis Stojko in 1997.
