Ottawa, ON – Gold Ice Junior will be representing Canada at the 2008 Cup of Berlin, an international synchronized figure skating event, taking place January 19-20 in Berlin, Germany.

Competing at the international level is not unfamiliar territory for Gold Ice Junior, who has had a successful year on the Junior Synchronized Figure Skating scene. The reigning 2007 Junior Canadian Champions, captured silver in Prague, Czech Republic at the 2007 Prague Cup. In addition, Gold Ice Junior placed strongly at the 2007 World Challenge Cup, placing fourth and winning the free program.

Skating out of the Skate Canada Brampton-Chinguacousy Club, Gold Ice Junior is coached by Tiffany Elliot, Saara Pulkkinen and Wendy Coates. The team will be performing their short program to Prayer in the Night by Amici Forever and their free program to music from the Blood Diamond soundtrack, choreographed by Stephanie Klein and Wendy Coates.
