(September 5, 2009) – It was last fall when skating fans watched Olympic skater Emanuel Sandhu perform for the CTV hit show So You Think You Can Dance Canada. He unfortunately didn’t make the top-20, but he is back this year! This year everyone watched anxiously as Sandhu returned to the show to prove himself as top-20 material.

Sandhu, 28, made the top-20 and is currently still on the show with only 16 dancers left. He wowed the judges with his triple Axel and continues to make a good impression with both the judges and fans, staying out of the bottom three each week.

“I hope viewers see me as a dancer who adores performing and can't help but speak through my body. I'm a dancer who wants to keep learning and therefore growing as a person and artist,” said Sandhu.

Sandhu competed at 13 national championships as a novice, junior and senior, winning the senior men’s title in 2001, 2003 and 2004 and was the senior silver medalist on six different occasions. Internationally, he has represented Canada at eight ISU World Figure Skating Championships and was named to two winter Olympic teams. He was the 2003 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final Champion, defeating world champion Evgeni Plushenko.

Make sure you check out the show and vote for Emanuel! The show airs on Tuesday and Wednesdays on CTV.
