Skate Canada National Award Winners Honoured in Toronto
(May 28, 2010 - OTTAWA, ON) – Skate Canada announced a number of award winners today at its Annual Convention and General Meeting (ACGM) in Toronto, Ontario. The recipients will be presented with their award tonight at the annual awards gala.
The Skate Canada National Award Program honours dedicated members of the skating community who have donated their time to help contribute to improving the quality of skating in Canada.
The 2010 recipients are:
- Manon Perron - CPA Saint-Léonard, Quebec Section
2010 Skate Canada Competitive Coach Award of Excellence presented by Artistry
- Carolyn Cameron - Century Skating Club, Manitoba Section
2010 Skate Canada Club and Recreational Coach Award of Excellence presented by Artistry
- Susanne Morgan - Mariposa Winter Club, Central Ontario Section
2010 Skate Canada Officials Award of Excellence
- Susan Morriss - Raquet Club of Victoria, British Columbia/Yukon Section
2010 Elizabeth Swan Memorial Award
- Matthew Chislett - Ice Crystals Figure Skating Club, Newfoundland/ Labrador Section
2010 BMO CanSkater of the Year
- Gail Weber - Fort St. John FSC, British Columbia/Yukon Section
2010 Billie Mitchell Award
Skate Canada also presents a volunteer award to one member of each of the 13 Skate Canada sections. The following outstanding volunteers have been awarded the 2010 Skate Canada Volunteer Award of Excellence:
- Diane Nielsen - Penticton Skating Club, British Columbia/Yukon Section
- Anita Kohnen - Huntington Hills SC, Alberta/NWT/Nunavut Section
- Debbie Rodger - Skate Regina, Saskatchewan Section

- Ursula Del Bel Belluz - North Dorchester Skating Club, Western Ontario Section
