Adult skaters descend on Ottawa
(March 29, 2010 - OTTAWA, ON) – Over 800 skaters will be arriving in the nation’s capital for the 2010 Skate Canada Adult Figure Skating Championships. The event will run from April 2-4 at the Bell Sensplex in Ottawa, Ontario. Five disciplines will be on display: free skate, interpretive, dance, pair and synchronized skating.
“This event is always unique and really proves that skating is for life,” said William Thompson, Skate Canada Chief Executive Officer. “With so many adults looking to stay active and healthy through skating this event gives them a goal to reach for and we are happy to promote this lifestyle.”
Tickets for the 2010 Skate Canada Adult Figure Skating Championships can only be purchased at the door throughout the event, starting Friday, April 2, 2010. All tickets are general admission. All-event tickets cost $20 for adults and children; day tickets cost $10 for adults and $7 for children (12 years and under).
