Getting ready for Junior Worlds

(May 14, 2004)

Representatives from Skate Canada, the International Skating Union, Wige Data, IMG, and CBC met in Kitchener/Waterloo May 10-12 to go over all the logistics for the 2005 ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships. Led by Peter Krick, the ISU Event Coordinator, the group discussed various topics such as where the television cameras will be placed, how many hotel rooms will be needed, rink board advertising and construction needs such as the judges stand.

An event such as this one that can possibly have close to 200 athletes participating takes a lot of careful planning with great attention to detail.

Tickets for the event which takes place at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium, February 28 - March 6, 2005 will go on sale in early October. Be sure to check back on our site at the end of the summer for more details.
