Welcome to the 2009 BMO Skate Canada Synchronized Skating Championships in Oshawa, Ontario. This national championship will bring together over 1,300 skaters from across the country to compete for the chance to reign in Canada!

The teamwork required to execute challenging formations and intricate step sequences as a single unit makes the sport of synchronized skating very exciting to watch!  The performance of teams of up to 20 members executing a unique mix of dynamic skating skills and speed is a memorable experience for all.

The competitive stream of teams competing at the 2009 BMO Skate Canada Synchronized Skating Championships will by vying for national titles in the senior, junior, novice and adult categories.  The top two Senior teams will earn the opportunity to represent Canada at the 2009 ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships in Zagreb, Croatia’s capital, from April 2-5.

The top six teams qualifying from the Western, Central and Eastern Regionals of Festival Synchronized Skating will also take on the challenge of competing at the national level in the open, novice, junior and adult categories.
