(July 5, 2010) – Ever since winning bronze at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, Joannie Rochette has been on the go. She had made countless public appearances and headlined the Sears Stars On Ice Tour across North America.

This past week, Joannie met two of the world’s most influential women: Michelle Obama and Queen Elizabeth II.

Joannie met Michelle Obama at a brunch in Toronto hosted by Canadian First Lady Laureen Harper. Ms. Harper entertained the spouses of many of the G20 leaders at the 360 restaurant located at the top of the CN Tower. Joannie sat next to Michelle as they enjoyed the food and the presence of other prominent Canadian women in attendance.

Next up was a trip to Ottawa for Canada Day celebrations. The Queen got big cheers as she spoke to the thousands of people who came out to watch. Joannie received a similar reaction as she also took to the stage to speak to the crowd.  It was a big thrill for Joannie as she was presented to the Queen following the event.
