(March 18, 2010) – Nexxice from the Western Ontario Section and Les Suprêmes from the Quebec Section both represented Canada at the 2010 Synchronized Skating Junior World Challenge Cup in Göteborg, Sweden. The event ran from March 11-13, 2010 at the Frölundaborgs Isstadion.
The 2010 Synchronized Skating Junior World Challenge Cup is a junior international synchronized skating event that hosts 20 of the top teams from around the world.
Nexxice had just come off a strong performance in Brampton, Ontario at the 2010 BMO Skate Canada Synchronized Skating Championships, winning the Canadian Junior Synchronized Skating title. Skating against the world’s best junior teams they ended their season on the podium with a silver medal. Nexxice also won silver at this event in 2009.
Team Fintastic from Finland took home the gold for a second year in a row.
Les Suprêmes were also podium contenders but they fell short to finish in sixth place.
