OTTAWA, ON - High School Musical: The Ice Tour rolled into Ottawa this weekend despite the blistering weather. The international tour, which is comprised of three companies, is expected to play more than 100 cities in its first year alone. Six of these shows were presented from March 7-8, 2008, at Scotiabank Place.
Bonard Muck, a former member of the Moncton Mariposa Skating Club, along with James Adair and Nick Kelly, both former members of the Petitcodiac & District Club, are three New Brunswick skaters who were part of the company that visited Ottawa this past weekend. Joining the New Brunswick skaters in the company are Stephanie Steele and Brittany Heath, both from the Chatham Figure Skating Club, and Melissa Newton from the North Bay Figure Skating Club.
The ice tour is being produced by Feld Entertainment and Kenny Ortega, in cooperation with Schumacher and his team at Disney Theatrical Productions. The show features a live fusion of songs, dance and team-spirited fun and celebrates the music of the original Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel movie.
The tour rolls into Hamilton, March 12-16, 2008.
