A total of 33 Canadian skaters have been assigned to compete on the 2006-2007 International Skating Union Grand Prix circuit.

The ISU made the Grand Prix assignments public earlier this week.

Seven men, four women, five pair teams and six ice dance teams will take turns representing Canada on the circuit, which consists of six events that take place in the U.S., Canada, China, France, Russia and Japan.

The Canadian stop on the circuit, the 2006 Skate Canada International, will be held in Victoria, B.C. from Nov. 2-5 at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

Representing Canada in the B.C. capital will be 2006 Olympic bronze medallist and two-time Canadian Champion Jeff Buttle, Shawn Sawyer, Marc-André Craig, two-time Canadian Champion Joannie Rochette, Mira Leung, Lesley Hawker, two-time Canadian Pair Champions Valérie Marcoux and Craig Buntin, Jessica Dubé and Bryce Davison, Elizabeth Putnam and Sean Wirtz, 2006 world silver medallists and four-time Canadian Ice Dance Champions Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir and Chantal Lefebvre and Arseniy Markov.
