Brian Orser signs autographs for the pensioners following the luncheon

Two-time Olympic silver medallist and 1987 World Champion Brian Orser was a guest at the BMO Financial Group pensioners lunch, which was held Sept. 14 at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa.

Brian was on hand to address former BMO Financial Group employees to create some excitement for the upcoming 2006 BMO Financial Group Canadian Championships, which will be held Jan. 9-15 at the Ottawa Civic Centre.

While at the luncheon, Brian spoke about his skating career and reflected on his memories of competing at various national championships. After lunch, Brian spent time signing autographs and talking with the pensioners.

With the 2006 BMO Financial Group Canadian Championships, which will feature the top skaters in Canada as they vie for a spot on the Canadian Olympic team, just over three months away, it’s full speed ahead with the planning and the preparations.

BMO Financial Group employees will be involved in the championships, primarily in the running of the BMO Fan Centre, which is an interactive area for spectators, and in hosting the BMO Parents’ Lounge, which is for the competitors’ parents.
